You're also just thinking about some sort of "endgame" in which players can fight each other, but that's also not what this is about, It's about the entire process of leveling, crafting, etc.. It increases the challenge of the game. Now, you might say that the challenge still exists, I can still start on a PvP server and do everything there even while others start on PvE servers and progress faster than me.
But then the game is not balanced. We want the game to be more challenging, yes, but not at the expense of unfairly crippling ourselves. Honestly, this shouldn't be that surprising of a request at all in an online game. We want some of the challenge to come from other actual players, and we want the game to be fair. That can't happen if you allow people to start on an easier server and then transfer to one where players have had to struggle more to get what they have.
What will happen to those who already done transfers? They would most likely have a lot more items and saddles. But one could get easily destroyed just by two aspects in the game. Bird or Grenade. And takes not many hours in to build up both. Of course, if they had started at the same time it would not happen easily, and that case is very rare. Joining a Tribe, or Creating one might help, but that's not an easy task either.
You can boost or just level on a horde or alliance only PVP and transfer. Having to redo professions is just a burden. I fall into that catagory too. I leveled on a pvp server till 60 until i got bored n then an old time guilde from back in classic asked me to come to pve , so transfered to there , now im stuck there … so your point doesnt make sh1t just let everyone pay for there transfers. Nonetheless, many players are unhappy about this move, claiming that it's not a level playing field, and that it will kill off world PVP on most servers, as players choose to level quickly in a safe environment before paying to bring their characters across.

His friends call him The European, but that's just a coincidence. He's still playing Diablo 3. If you want to play on a pvp server, level on one. You can even boost, which already more than necessary. Makes sense, amirite? Let us do it. Lets make it fair so that the people who want it win, blizzard wins, and the people against it win knowing someone lost more money :.
If you want to play and level on a carebear server you stay on a carebear server. Bad enough people can boost to 58 on a pvp server.
