Usopp and Chopper carry the frozen Robin to the Going Merry for treatment. While they desperately try to save her, Luffy challenges Aokiji to a fight. With the Going Merry in need of repairs, the Straw Hats head out to recruit an onboard shipwright to their crew.

A train barrels straight toward the Going Merry. According to Kokoro and Chimney of Shift Station, the "sea train" travels from island to island.

After arriving in Water Seven, Luffy and the others take in the various things the city has to offer as they ride yagaras into the center of town. Luffy and the others exchange their gold to get cash to repair the Going Merry. While trying to enter the shipyard, they meet a foreman named Kaku. Foreman Paulie uses his ropes to defeat the Franky Family members, but he tries to keep going and make off with the stolen money himself. Luffy gets upset after hearing from Kaku that the condition of the Going Merry is beyond repair.

Usopp and million berries have gone missing. Usopp runs into trouble after trying to get back the stolen money by himself.

Luffy and the others burn with anger after seeing their defeated friend. Usopp adamantly opposes Luffy's decision to replace the Going Merry with another ship, but Luffy has made up his mind as the ship's captain. Usopp means serious business as he comes at Luffy with all that he's got.

Amidst the explosive fight, tears stream down the Going Merry's face. The city is thrown into confusion after Mayor Iceberg is shot. Franky can breathe fire as if he were a Devil Fruit user, but he is fine being submerged in water since he is actually a fist-launching cyborg. The townsfolk turn on the Straw Hats after learning about their connection to Robin. Luffy goes to the Galley-La HQ to find out what really happened. The Straw Hats have become wanted criminals within the city.

Chopper picks up on a familiar scent while looking for Robin with Sanji. Zoro surmises that Robin means to strike again tonight. The Straw Hats must capture Robin in order to find out whether she is their friend or foe.

Masked figures appear as an explosion goes off at Iceberg's mansion; they are members of the World Government's secret organization Cipher Pol 9. CP9 is after the blueprints to the ancient weapon Pluton. For generations, shipwrights had been passing down the knowledge in order to be prepared.

CP9 had already infiltrated Galley-La Company five years ago. According to Lucci, a particular individual from Iceberg's past is still alive.

The CP9 assassins are capable of turning themselves into living weapons. Unbelievably fast, they can even fly and slice down walls with a single kick. Luffy and Zoro are sent flying by Lucci, who turns out to be a Devil Fruit user.

CP9 goes after Franky to get the ancient weapon's blueprints. Even as he tearfully resists Franky's offer to dismantle the Going Merry, Usopp knows deep down that there is no hope left for his beloved ship.

The CP9 members show up at Franky's underground hideout. Farther in, they find the room where Franky spent countless hours with Iceberg and Tom. Eight years ago, Franky's battleships attacked a judicial ship. Cannonballs rain down on Tom and Iceberg when they try to stop the onslaught.

Tom and his apprentices are arrested. To save Franky and Iceberg, Tom chooses to accept the capital punishment for building the Pirate King's ship. Iceberg tells Nami what he knows about Robin after regaining consciousness: Robin wants to make sure the Straw Hats get off the island without her.

The high tide will make it impossible to leave the island once the train headed to Enies Lobby takes off. Nami and the others rush to the station. Nami receives a love letter addressed to her at the station. In it, Sanji informs her that he has decided to board the last sea train. The giant wave approaches while Luffy is stuck in between two buildings and Zoro is sticking out the top of a chimney.

Nami reveals Robin's sacrifice. Knowing that going to Enies Lobby would be like declaring war on the World Government, Luffy and the others prepare to ride a prototype sea train. The Franky Family hitches a ride on the Rocketman as the sea train goes full throttle, joined on board by Paulie and the other Galley-La foremen.

Luffy and Zoro's powerful combined attack blows away nature's fury. Sanji and Franky team up with Sogeking, a mysterious man from the island of snipers. Together, they trap the Marines in the back of the train.

Wanze, the culinary fighter of CP7, absorbs Sanji's kick with his combat clothes made of noodles. Franky fights Nero, a new member of CP9.

Like peeling an onion with his superior knife skills, Sanji strips Wanze of his noodle wear. Franky demonstrates his ability to turn into a centaur. T-Bone of the Marines and Zoro exchange blows in a clash between master swordsmen. Sanji teaches Wanze a lesson for insulting Robin. Robin enters the car where Sanji and the others are, but she refuses to rejoin her friends.

Sogeking activates a smoke bomb and runs off with Robin. Using his Devil Fruit abilities, Blueno strikes Sanji by catching him off guard. Sogeking's efforts amount to nothing as Robin leaves, yet again. With their friends captured by the World Government, the Straw Hats prepare for an all-out assault against the military on the island of Enies Lobby. Luffy speeds past the gates and heads to the main island. Galley-La and the Franky Family start making way for Rocketman to charge through.

The king bulls join the Franky Family's fight against the giants guarding the gate. The members of CP9 gather together at the Tower of Law. The gate finally opens after Paulie uses his ropes to defeat Oimo. With help from Yokozuna, the Rocketman takes off into the sky. Nami uses her Perfect Clima Tact to strike down all of the enemies around her with lightning. The five Straw Hats run to catch up with their captain. Robin had cooperated with CP9 in order to guarantee safety for her friends.

But the treacherous Spandam means to send them to a prison stronghold. Sogeking listens and connects the dots as the sobbing Oimo tells him his story: Oimo and Kashii had served under none other than Dorry and Broggy. Zoro and the others head out to Luffy's location after joining the Franky Family on Gomorrah, but Gomorrah is also struck down by unknown assailants.

With reports of over 2, casualties, Enies Lobby experiences the worst crisis in its entire history at the hands of the Straw Hat Pirates. Steam rises from Luffy's body as he activates his new fighting technique Second Gear. With explosive power, Luffy smashes through Blueno's defenses. Franky takes Robin to a balcony overlooking the rooftop where Luffy is. One after another, the other Straw Hat Pirates arrive. Spandam threatens to initiate a Buster Call, the very thing that tragically wiped Robin's hometown off the map 20 years ago.

Robin's mother Olvia escapes prison to warn about the navy's plan to get rid of the island scholars. Unknowingly, Robin passes by her mother in town. Tears stream down Robin's face as she begs to be with Olvia after realizing that the woman being taken away by CP9 is her mother.

Being the sole survivor of the destruction of Ohara, eight-year-old Robin became a wanted fugitive. Back in the present, Luffy calls out to Robin. The Straw Hats start their rescue operation, but the drawbridge that leads to Robin gets stuck. Luffy remembers the day he decided to go out to sea. Zoro also reflects back on his past during the rescue mission. Even as he was being held captive, he could not forget a certain promise he made.

The loneliness that Robin had hidden in the deepest recesses of her heart stirs up Nami's memories of once betraying Luffy and the others. As Sanji and Chopper remember the people who helped them in the past, they think to themselves that they will never let Robin be lonely again.

The Straw Hats had originally gone to Water Seven with the intention of recruiting a shipwright, but what awaited them was something else entirely.

It is the grand old days. A certain hooved doctor has been too busy to visit Sanji and Nami's eatery lately, but Luffy has been a regular fixture. Sanji and the others are running around town with a cart at the start of the new year, when a shady-looking bunch suddenly stops them in their tracks. Kalifa blocks Nami's attack with a bubble barrier. Controlling her soapy bubbles, the Devil Fruit user washes the strength off her enemies.

In a panicked state after hearing Luffy's voice approaching, Spandam accidentally activates the golden switch and sets a Buster Call in motion. Chopper in his monstrously huge form inadvertently gives Nami a hint.

Realizing what her enemy's weakness is, Nami sets her plan in motion. Nami and Franky rush to the upper level to stop the rampaging Chopper. The only way to turn him back to normal might be to dunk him into the ocean.

Sogeking gets injured after allowing himself to believe that the deceitful Jabra would give up his key without a fight. Nami runs to his side. Jabra uses his hardening technique against Sanji. Sanji's leg burns with fiery rage as he prepares to strike at Jabra for making Robin suffer. Spandam stands before the Gates of Justice with Robin. Luffy asks Franky to go rescue Robin while he takes care of Lucci. Kaku makes full use of his powerful limbs and neck against Zoro, but in that moment, Zoro suddenly takes on the appearance of a vengeful demon god.

Robin desperately tries to buy time for her friends, but Spandam drags her to the Gates of Justice. Just then, someone shoots Spandam from afar. Navy cannon fire interrupts the momentary relief of Robin's freedom.

There, he killed their captain along with all the hostages. Thinking back on the day Tom was taken from him, Franky crushes Spandam with an elephant. Zoro and the others fight to stay alive underwater.

The Straw Hat crew must devise an escape plan from Enies Lobby when the Marines continue to rain heavy artillery fire down on the once-proud island. Nami and the others reunite with Robin after being rescued by Kokoro. They must now wait for Luffy, but most of Enies Lobby appears to be burning. Sogeking and the others get the chance to tell Luffy that they are all safely back together, but elite Marines move in to recapture Robin. Usopp takes off his Sogeking mask to let Luffy hear his true voice.

Emboldened by his words, Luffy focuses on winning to get back to his friends. After sinking the Straw Hats' only means of escape, the Marines turn their cannons to the now thoroughly exhausted and immobile Luffy. The Gates of Justice create whirlpools as they begin to close. The Straw Hats turn this to their advantage and speed away from the Marine fleet.

Luffy and the others rejoice as the shipwrights of Galley-La greet them with their ship, but the Straw Hats must bid farewell to their dearest friend.

Luffy takes an immediate liking to Brook and welcomes him aboard the Sunny, where the living skeleton reveals that he is a Devil Fruit user. Brook urges Luffy and the others to turn around and get away from the ghost island Thriller Bark, but Luffy fully intends to disembark. Nami has been transported to Weatheria, while Franky has wound up in Baldimore. The rest of the Straw Hats that were sent flying by Kuma are on the move. Chopper has landed in Birdie Kingdom. He doesn't obey orders well, but he has tremendous loyalty from his own men. Smoker is a tall, muscular white-haired man, with a distinct trait of always being seen smoking two cigars at once. His hair is slightly long and slicked back, along with the sides being short.

He wears a large thick white and blue specialist marine jacket which he keeps open, with greenish fur lining the neck, wrists and hem.

Many cigars are strapped to the jacket, which bears the kanji for " justice " written on the back of it. Over it is the traditional Marines' military coat over his attire, draped over his shoulders like a cape. He carries a seastone -tipped jitte on the back of his coat as his weapon, although it has been broken twice: once during the Battle of Marineford by Boa Hancock, and once on Punk Hazard by Vergo. He also wears brown leather gloves, blue jeans with a brown belt and large military issue brown leather boots.

He also wears sunglasses and has a scar that extends from his forehead to his right eye and tapers off to the side of his face. The fact that he also rides a custom made motorbike gives off the impression of a delinquent marine. Smoker is a seasoned Marine, who when first introduced, was trying to track down Luffy in Loguetown. Unlike many other Marines, Smoker does not follow the rule of Absolute Justice and follows his own code of justice, which he later preaches to Tashigi.

Smoker's perception on justice also allows the Straw Hat Pirates to remain at liberty despite being pirates during the Alabasta Arc. He let Luffy go after he found out that Zoro was ordered by Luffy to save him from drowning.

However, he quickly lost his temper after Luffy made a stupid comment. He warned Luffy that as a marine, he would have to try and arrest him the next time they encounter each other. Smoker also did not like taking credit in Alabasta for the Straw Hats' work in defeating Crocodile, even cursing the World Government when they attempted to reward him for it. Furthermore, Smoker is very perceptive. He quickly became interested in Luffy, because he saw parallels with Gol D.

Roger in it. This also led him to pursue Luffy, which he does up to the present time. Chopper is actually the youngest Straw Hat, and he is occasionally treated as Such. It is not unusual for Chopper to be parented by characters such as Robin and Zoro.

His birthday is December 24th, Christmas Eve which reflects the cold climate he comes from and the fact that he was originally a reindeer. Chopper's small size and gentle appearance are an invitation for enemies to underestimate him, but he's a fierce fighter when he has to be.

Nico Robin is the cool and collected Straw Hat with a love for "cute things". Her personality is hard to pin down until the later parts of One Piece , but she's a fan favorite for sure. When she joined the crew, Robin was quite a mysterious figure as she kept her distance from the crew. This stemmed from her tragic backstory.

Robin's birthday is February 6th, which makes her an Aquarius which are known for their honesty and imagination. This trait is best demonstrated when she sees something cute and can't help but get starry eyes and exclaim how cute something is.

Franky is a giant. It's clear in the series but his height and scale seem to change for comedic and dramatic effect, making it difficult to tell how tall he really is. Franky's actual height is cm after the time skip, putting him up there with NBA players. Before joining Luffy's ragtag crew of adventurers, Franky was an adult with a career and "crew" of his own. Consequently, it made sense that he was much older than the rest of the characters who formed the Straw Hats at the time.

He appears tall, lanky, and fragile since he's all bones but it's difficult to tell what his real height is. A musician, Brook brings plenty of charm and humor to the Straw Hats' travels. Although not quite reaching Zoro or Sanji's levels, Brook is a capable fighter in his own right.

While his age is around the 90 mark, Brook died at 38 and his body has been preserved since then, albeit in skeleton form. Jinbe is the newest addition to the Straw Hats who lived during the Golden Age of pirates and led the Sun Pirates , basically as the king of the Fishman underworld. Because of this, he's older than the other Straw Hats at 46 years old. Jinbe's height is shown to change throughout the manga and anime for scale because if his true height was shown, he might not always fit on the screen.

He's a giant Fishman with the build of a blue whale and a shark. His monstrous size hides his compassionate and gentle side.
