Normally that is correct. I did learn the hard way that you lose accumulated conquest at the end of the season, though. Pretty much what Irisse said. You never miss a reward by falling behind. For example, last week was a weapon and this week is a helm. If you ding this week, you still have to earn the weapon before you can earn the helm. You have the same schedule, just behind people that are current. You can easily grind a couple of rewards per week to catch up though. For example I had an alt that was several weeks behind in s1.
During week 1 of the Shadowlands Season 1, the cap was If you play with somebody below your MMR, it will average the team down. They never have. This point is completely contradictory to what rated battlegrounds are. They are — by their very definition — all premades fighting premade. You cannot queue for them without an entire team formed prior to pre the match.
