Bonnaroo how many bands

Besides clear bags, Bonnaroo will also allow small clutch purses up to 4. Empty hydration packs with up to two pockets will be allowed, so we suggest getting a funky one meant for festivals rather than a rugged, outdoorsy pack.

Trying to improve your camping experience? Bonnaroo is tied as much to the musical performances themselves as the campgrounds and community surrounding them. We suggest you read the full guide on the Bonnaroo campsite here , which covers RVing, car camping, vehicle passes, rentals and more. Try to maintain a reasonable distance of six feet from your fellow concertgoers outdoors, even while vaccinated save the crowd surfing for another time. One of our favorite protective face masks is this KN95 mask from BlueBear.

You could pick up any other disposable mask, but this one has four fluid-resistant layers that filter 95 percent of particles for up to 12 hours. We really like the accessibility and 4K quality of the Panasonic Lumix LX10 — if you need a portable way to capture your festival experience with the least amount of effort, this is the one you should get. Or, you can bring a small 20 lbs or less container of propane for a portable grill.

Note that small, green Coleman-type propane tanks are limited to 2 per grill. They hold a reliable amount of heat with their porcelain-enameled lid and base, with dampers that allow you to easily adjust the temperature.

The cooking area is square inches, enough to hold six burgers. Hydration is a must, full-stop, no questions asked. While some festivals might make you suffer through sipping warm water all day from plastic bottles, Bonnaroo is letting you bring in one empty reusable water bottle per person or sealed, purchased water under 1L.

A worthy concert companion, you can either get a quiet sport cap for one-handed drinking or the standard twist-off flex cap. You can bring along two 5-gallon gas cans or 10 total gallons per generator to help you stay charged throughout the whole weekend.

This portable watt generator has an automatic fuel shut-off, which is a neat feature if you want the most bang for your buck. Run The Jewels. Glass Animals. The Disco Biscuits. Dashboard Confessional. Marcus King Band. Lennon Stella. The Weather Station. Resistance Revival Chorus. Rome In Silver. My Morning Jacket. Phoebe Bridgers.

Marc Rebillet. The Band Camino. William Black. Hero The Band. The festival had teased the announcement on Tuesday night with the release of a new hype reel.

Fans are ready to gather together and celebrate their shared love of music once again. We welcome them back for a full Bonnaroo and what is sure to be a truly unforgettable event! There was something for everybody. You could watch artists like Willie Nelson, Jay-Z, Trombone Shorty and Slayer all in the same weekend, not to mention the all-star Saturday night Superjam show that would feature a plethora of collaborations and artist mashups you'd only get at Bonnaroo.

For many years, it truly was a prime example of diversity among music fans, but also a way for them to all come together with a common purpose, and maybe learn a few things along the way. Then, one year things took a big shift, and it became more EDM and modern pop-centric, which turned a lot of people off, while at the same time opened up Bonnaroo to a whole new audience.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing, since part of the Bonnaroo ethos is to always think of ways to evolve with the pop culture landscape. Even if the lineup is nothing close to what we saw in years past, the "experience" of being there has improved ten-fold, and is something its organizers have put their main focus on ever since the festival experienced an attendance slump in the early s.

Every year's lineup, even going back to , has always had its share of naysayers, but one thing I would always say is, "Even if you don't like the lineup, go anyway. Just being there is enough to have a great time. The last Bonnaroo in had more things to see and do than I'd ever witnessed before, from multiple side stages throughout the campgrounds to a "neon forest" full of funky art, as well as hundreds of vendors and artisans spread all about.

Honestly, the most fun thing I came across wasn't any band or show, but a massive Pride Parade that traveled through the festival like something straight out of New Orleans. And for anyone who still thinks Bonnaroo is just one big hippie drug haven full of degenerates, there is even a Sunday church service you can attend, several charity outreach groups and many dedicated volunteers that make sure trash and recyclables are picked up every day.

For me, at 34, it's sometimes hard to find where I fit into Bonnaroo these days.
